The Collaboration @ Sea network was so successful it was installed on every combat ship in the US Navy. Developed, installed and administered the Coalition Wide Area Network, an allied knowledge management network for the US Navy. The CWAN was so successful, it was permanently implemented for allied operations with over 50 US allies.Weapons Officer/Network Manager – USS CHOSIN (CG-65) Managed 120 technicians and supervisors. Managed the highly complex AEGIS Combat Weapons System. Directed multi-national air/surface forces in air defense operations.Chief of Tomahawk Missile Mission Distribution – US Pacific Command Managed the Tomahawk Mission Distribution Communications System including global satellite communications systems, worldwide computer networks and UNIX and Windows-based data and imagery systems and the worldwide distribution of Tomahawk mission data and imagery.Nuclear Engineer – USS TRUXTUN (CGN-35) Managed the deactivation and de-fueling of two nuclear reactor plants including the removal of propulsion plant equipment during a one year, $250 million-dollar shipyard deactivation period. Trained 35 technicians in highly complex engineering procedures; supervised operations of team during one of three daily work shifts. Results: Completed 1-year nuclear operations task on time with unprecedented zero incident safety record. Managed all shipboard nuclear reactor plant electrical generation and distribution systems, electrical equipment and reactor plant monitoring and control systems on two multi-million-dollar nuclear reactor plants. Noted by ORSE board as one of the best Reactor Controls groups on the west coast, even though it was the oldest nuclear system in the fleet.
