This project was focussed on the reduction of IT legacy. Both in number of applications and removal of hardware/license costs from the organisation.My role was to proactively seekout and investigate opportunities for achieving the above goals. During my time in this team I personally managed the removal of 41 applications from the estate and helped to remove £350k of infrastructure from the bottom line cost of IT operation. I also worked with a number of business areas to identify actions which could be taken to remove excess and re-platform expensive applications onto cheaper & better supported technologies.
