As an undergraduate researcher in the Magness Lab, I am working with a 3-year post-doctoral student and am responsible for data collection of GI stem cells as part of the self-renewal and differentiation research. My work will be utilized in research that will be included in a paper that will be submitted in 2023.

Over the summer I developed a micro physiological platform to measure cell cycle in healthy primary human intestinal stem cells using novel imaging instruments and technologies.My three main engineering goals were:-Genetically engineer an improved microphysiological construct that is able to demark cell cycle phase changes -Engineer a device to allow for optimal imaging on a confocal microscope by decreasing collegian thickness, but maintaining growth abilities, and is within the objective depth. -Automate a data analysis system that uses imaging data and is able to interpret cell cycle phase length.

- Guard up to 50 individuals at a time in the pool, supervising program pool activities, providing first aid, tending to customer service- Participate in continuing education through monthly in-services, and performing routine maintenance at three locations
