Mike Feng is a dynamic leader in technology and entrepreneurship with 25 years of experience in and around the Department of Defense with experience as an Air Force Officer, a DoD Contractor and working with a Partnership Intermediary (PIA) for AFRL. He has deep connections in the dual-use startup ecosystem as well as the DoD Innovation ecosystem. He has hands on experience in Partnership building, Customer Relationships, Customer Success and Business Development as well as extensive experience in Government Contracting, specifically in the Department of Defense, and Government Relations. As a Program Manager, he has delivered large-scale digital programs to government and military customers. Mike is a decorated Air Force veteran who brings his leadership skills to align diverse stakeholders across functions around clear visions for success.At the Griffiss Institute, the PIA for AFRL's Information Directorate, he has developed a strong understanding in several industries, Quantum Information Science, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML), Cybersecurity and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). Leveraging well-developed networks in these industries, he has helped connect AFRL Scientists and Engineers with industry and academia. He has also worked with startups, helping them navigate the DoD Innovation landscape and understand the DoD Procurement Process.During his time as Vice President of System Integration at Progressive Expert Consulting (PEC), he oversaw all Customer Success and Business Development efforts. In addition, he has implemented customer projects and programs and has led the company's IT operations, and talent management/acquisition functions. As a member of the executive team, Mike has steadily grown the company’s annual revenue since he started there in 2003. Mike is a skilled communicator and has an ability to convey heavily technical concepts in an accessible way. He has used these skill throughout his career, especially as a Visiting Lecturer at Cornell University, teaching Master of Engineering students. He also has a history of embedding next-generation program management capabilities in large-scale projects that have set up programs for long-lasting success. Mike is a mission-driven, purpose-driven leader. He served as the Board Chair of The Gifford Foundation and Board Vice President of Symphoria. Mike has a Master of Engineering in Engineering Management and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
