After clerking with a law firm in Springfield Massachusetts for a year and a half, and then with a Providence firm, at which I then became an associate for just over three years. With lots of courtroom experience under my belt and a couple of R.I Supreme Court wins I felt ready to go on my own and I hung out my shingle in the Providence Metropolitan Area of Rhode Island. In my own practice I gained experience as a Federal panel defender and as representing many in DUI/OUI/Refusal cases and other minor crimes as well as personal injury cases. Participation in some homicide trials lead to a trial for Providence Water in an easement dispute.For near ten ears after I regularly represented Providence Water in civil claims and Environmental administrative contexts and contract review and finalization, in one case a contract exceeding four million dollars. I drafted an intra-agency agreement for the City of Providence and Providence water for coordination efforts making the very best use of of Federal stimulus funds As this wound down after a change of administrations, I became active in representing employees in termination related matters and recently wage claims in addition to continuing to handle DUI/OUI and Breathalyzer Refusal cases, traffic matters, minor criminal cases, felony criminal cases and personal injury cases.
