The Miss America Organization is one of the nation's leading achievement programs and the world's largest provider of scholarship assistance for young women. Last year, the Miss America Organization and its state and local organizations made available more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance.I have been affiliated with and a volunteer for the Miss America Program since 1988 and currently serve as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Inc. During 2009 and 2010, I served as Treasurer of the Miss Nevada Scholarship Organization Board of Directors and was the State Director for the Miss Nevada’s Outstanding Teen Program. I have served as a member of the Miss Texas Organization Board of Trustees, the Chairman of the Miss Texas Organization Local Judges Coordinators, and script writer for both the Miss Texas Scholarship Pageant telecast and Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen Pageant. I am a Past-President of the Miss Texas Local Franchise Holders Association. I also served as the Chairman of the Miss Texas’ Outstanding Teen (formerly “Miss Teen Texas”) Program for five years. In addition, I served as a Miss Texas Field Director for three years, and throughout the 1990’s was the President and Executive Director of the Miss Houston, Miss Harris County, and Miss River Oaks Organizations…all local franchises of the Miss Texas Organization.Each year, the Miss Texas Organization recognizes volunteers who exemplify the values, qualities, role-model behaviors, and personal traits needed within the Miss America Organization. Having been a volunteer with the Miss Texas Organization’s efforts to establish respect, understanding, professionalism, trust, and ethical behavior within the organization, I was recognized for my volunteer efforts and was inducted into the Miss Texas Organization Hall of Honor in 2004.

The overall mission and vision of the MHFF are to “Nurture and Support Positive Accomplishments and Foster the Opportunity for Academic Scholarships for our Youth, Promote Community Awareness Through Outreach Programs, and Provide Supplies to Underfunded School Classrooms.”

Provide business consulting services for new and former clients

Provided Human Resources transformation consulting services for clients including: process redesign and reengineering, proposal preparation, preparation of statements of work, developing project workplans, implementing Infor/Lawson S3/HCM, identifying deliverables, providing input for project budgets and executive presentations, orchestrating year-end W-2 processing, developing operational procedures for Infor/Lawson S3/HCM ERP system payroll year-end processing, and upgrades from Infor/Lawson S3/HCM Time Accrual to Infor/Lawson S3/HCM Absence Management.

A Senior Functional Infor/Lawson Consultant, Lawson Implementation ERP Project Manager, and former Business Owner with extensive functional background in Infor/Lawson Human Capital Management, Michael has led and participated in these roles since 1994. He has had extensive U.S. and International hands-on experience in all phases of the ERP implementation cycle, project management, process improvement with proficiency in identifying and resolving organizational inefficiencies and implementing solutions, and is currently working on Infor/Lawson Talent Management implementations.

Texas Cares For Children, Inc. is a non- profit organization created for the purpose of bringing a character education and mentoring program into schools all across Texas. This is accomplished by training high achieving peer mentors between the ages of 13 and 24 to speak to school children of all ages in an assembly format that is both fun and informative. Students are taught the value of goal setting in education and in life as well as how to accomplish those goals, withstand peer pressure and bullying, and turn negative peer pressure into positive peer pressure creating a desire in students to become leaders and give back to their community. The program can be adjusted to address specific areas of concern in any given school. Students who attend school in a district where the program has been presented are eligible to apply for one of several college scholarships that will be awarded each year. Size and number of scholarships will depend on funds donated each year.Funding for Texas Cares For Children, Inc. comes from grants, sponsorships and various fundraising events such as galas, golf tournaments and other community events that are entertaining and fun.
