Managed a team of 3-5 engineers, drove performance against schedule, planned and delegated work, and provided review and feedback. Developed the following models for the C++ 6-DOF simulation: aerodynamics, propulsion, structural dynamics, atmosphere, IMU, staging, and thrust vector control. Oversaw the verification & validation process for select models. Wrote V&V plan documents based on MIL-STD-3022 for verification, validation, and accreditation of models and simulations.

Redesigned and streamlined the calibration and alignment model in Simulilnk and C++. Designed, evaluated, and improved synchronous and asynchronous thruster control algorithms for spacecraft attitude control. Used Monte Carlo analysis to evaluate tradeoffs between control algorithms to reduce fuel consumption and improve accuracy. Researched and implemented a control algorithm for load relief at max-Q during launch.

Performed stability and control analysis to inform the design team for the final outer mold line selection and control surface layout. Selected the control surface actuators based on hinge moment analysisDeveloped a nonlinear 6-DOF simulation and control laws in Simulink. Integrated a Piccolo autopilot system with the simulation in order to support control law tuning and flight test.
