Worked with seven companies to prepare a robust go to market strategy that included 360 degree interviews, business model canvas, value proposition canvas, sketched minimum viable product, product testing schedule, pitch deck, market research, competitive landscape, and financial models.

Off Grid Electric is the world’s first massively scalable off­grid electric company. It exists to provide affordable and reliable energy to communities that currently lack such power. The company utilizes distributed renewable energy to sell power as a service to customers who suffer from an expensive grid, an unreliable grid, or have no electrical grid access at all. It is headquartered in Arusha, Tanzania and founded by a team of world­class, venture­backed entrepreneurs.

Manages the MEST seed fund, and Business Development at the MEST incubator in Accra, Ghana (www.meltwater.org). MEST has invested over $1M in 13 tech start-ups in Accra, many of which are now cash-flow positive, or are in negotiations with VCs and angels for their 2nd round of funding.

Conducted due diligence for potential investments at all stages before deal closure, including attendance at deal screening meetings and on pitch calls.

Established one of the first university career centers in Macedonia. This pilot project was later expanded to all thirteen faculties of Goce Delchev University. I facilitated workshops; created a lecture series; mentored a team for an international case study competition; and helped to found an internship program. Linking the University and eight local libraries, I also managed a project to obtain English language books from international donors. We successfully obtained a donation of 20,000 books, at a value of $400,000.At the Center for Local Economic Development in the Municipal Government of Stip, I designed and implemented many projects linking the public and private sectors with civil society to develop the regional economy and its human capital.Designed and implement a three-month technical and cultural training program for new Peace Corps Volunteers. Significant changes were made to the program to include case studies from current volunteers and rotational practical placements with Macedonian organizations. Our new program was well received, with an increase in trainee satisfaction from 2.5 out of 5, in recent years, to 4.6.

Appointed to chair the Mission Statement Committee and report directly to the Company Board of Directors. I facilitated the development of the company mission statement by interviewing employees, and presenting and managing discussion at company-wide meetings. Further, I was able to improve sales by taking the initiative to sell otherwise scrapped materials through the internet.

Initiated and developed a research project in which we analyzed the benefits to the company of establishing a socially responsible mutual fund. We then presented this proposal to the CEO and board level management. My other responsibilities included conducting market research; drafting proposals; and organizing an intra-office educational lunch.
