They call me a Lead Quality Engineer, but I'm really equal parts Release Management and Testing. I am heavily involved in creation and deployment of daily production releases for Cvent, going on many years now. My team is on the 'front lines' so to speak, as we are the ones to compile many teams' work into one new release branch. My focus is then on certification of the release package itself, not the individual issues within.My dream job is one similar to the above, except where I don't have to live somewhere with a high cost of living, or with very high population density. During COVID-19 I proved that I can still do an excellent job while working remote. I'd like to maintain remote work, while having the freedom to move to a more low-key part of the country than D.C.I am an aspiring professional musician outside my day job.
