Forόige has been contracted by Tusla Education Support Service (TESS) since 2015 to develop and provide a bespoke programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for the School Completion Programme (SCP) staff nationally alongside a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing and further developing supports to the SCP.SCP is a targeted programme which aims to increase the numbers of children and young people staying in primary and post primary school and in doing so improve the numbers of young people who successfully complete the Senior Cycle, or equivalent. The primary focus of the Programme is to work with those who may be at risk of educational disadvantage through early school leaving.Key Responsibilities:● Facilitating SCP mandatory CPD and other training opportunities directly to SCP staff in person and/or online. Mandatory CPD includes induction, the SCP Intake Framework, Needs Assessment & Outcomes Focussed Planning, Curriculum Design & Evaluation and Implementation Support.● Reviewing and updating the five days of mandatory SCP CPD to ensure the key outcomes of the CPD programme are being met.● Organising a range of SCP elective training for SCP staff provided through external training providers to include oversight of budget/cost effectiveness, logistics and development of in-house (SCP) training capacity through ‘Train the Trainer’ programmes.● Engaging with SCP staff through the established SCP Guiding Group to identify additional CPD and/or training needs, and working with the SCP CPD Manager and TESS management to meet these identified needs.● Designing, facilitating and evaluating additional CPD for SCP staff as required.● Undertaking a Training Needs Analysis of SCP staff.● Maintaining and developing relationships with SCP staff, TESS Management and other key stakeholders as required.● Attending meetings and preparing written reports as required for the SCP CPD Manager and/or TESS Management
