It is my honor to serve with the calm voices in the dark. A 9-1-1 Telecommunicator is one of the most significant people you may never see. I get to be their coach, counselor, leader, mentor, teacher, and peer. I firmly believe in being a servant leader. Empowering your team is critical to achieving the mission. I have been a public servant for well over a decade. In 2011, I changed course to enter the communications side of public safety. I have served in the roles of Call-Taker, Fire Dispatcher, Police Dispatcher, Supervisor, Training and Organizational Development Coordinator, and Emergency Communications Manager throughout my career. While in these roles, I have taken on the responsibilities of Communications Training Officer, Agency Instructor, Change Agent, and Mentor. I aspire to continue growing in this industry and help others around me grow.My passion is public safety training and development at all levels. I believe that national standards must be developed for 9-1-1. We should always aim to help 100% of all citizens every time. This herculean task requires constant growth and development in our industry. Our citizens deserve the best we can offer them, which national standards would set the bar for.
