Michaella, a self-motivated, quick learner and hard worker, is a registered Professional Engineer with both APEGA and EGBC. Working on Canada's largest infrastructure project has provided Michaella the opportunity to be engaged in multiple stages of a project lifecycle, becoming familiar with construction execution strategies, project management principals, commercial and contractual obligations. While learning the practical side of engineering, Michaella has developed strategies and is committed to delivering quality solutions by instilling confidence in Clients through her trusting working relationships. Her exceptional working relationships have proven to be an asset along with her ability to multi-task and her resiliency and adaptivity in changing work environments. Using her exceptional time management and organizational skills, Michaella has experience compiling and communicating technical recommendations and analysis through preparation of calculation packages and other deliverables while coordinating with other engineering disciplines. Working on projects within Alberta and the United States through the Calgary, Vancouver, and Greenville Fluor offices, Michaella has developed design experience with a variety of materials including both concrete and steel. As a collaborative team member who excels at working both independently and as a team, providing innovative solutions while reinforcing financial discipline, Michaella thrives on new challenges with great attention to detail and precision. With a goal of always wanting to learn something new, Michaella is always open to new tasks to further develop her technical and soft skills and encourages a high performing culture and excellence among team members. As the current President of Global Graduates Advancing to Professionalism, and previous Employee Giving Campaign Co-Chair and Engineering Month Co-Chair, Michaella was selected as the recipient of the 2022 Women in Trades and Technology (WITT) Catalyst Award for driving change in her field. She is also a current member of Calgary Women in Energy, sitting on the Marketing and Communication Subcommittee, and an active volunteer and mentor for University of Alberta first year engineering students. Living by the highest ethical standards, Michaella uses her passion towards engineering to amplify her leadership and volunteering skills to organize, manage and effectively lead teams with hopes of inspiring others to enter a field of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
