After gaining my placement through an interview process and then a test day of modelling at the Aston Martin Design Studio against 3 other people, I was privileged to be accepted.Whilst on my 3 month internship, I spent time working on both interior and exterior models alongside professional modellers, from whom I was taught a lot of theory and skills behind modelling. I worked with interior and exterior designers on my projects, again from whom I learned a lot about interpretation and development of designs.The one to one time spent with clay modellers whilst at Aston Martin was second to none, and allowed me to build substantially on my skills as a clay modeller, as well as being able to understand design on a new level.- Placed on both interior and exterior programmes.- Worked with a designer on each. - Modelled from sketches and renders, and discussed design decisions to get the best outcome.- Dealt with many design changes.- Taught how to use the digital pointing devices.- Worked with given datum points for parts of the model- Worked one to one with a professional modeller and learned a lot about the construction of a model.- Taught the basics of highlighting with the use of Dy-noc and foil to see how they run.- Formally present my work to the design operations director, both modelling managers and the designers that I worked with. All of the aforementioned were very impressed with how I managed the design changes, and was able to complete the model to a high standard in the time that I had, considering my initial level of skill.

A collaborative design project with General Motors Advanced Design.The project was a group project to design and model a car for generation Y in 2025.

To design the Aston Martin for 2025.I designed and modelled a luxury limousine for the Aston Martin brand for the year 2025.
