I'm a Creative Director who believes in the power of collaboration to help produce dynamic and effective solutions that transform brands, businesses and lives. After practising as an architect I joined The Union as a junior copywriter when there were just nine people in the agency. I became Deputy Creative Director in 2004 and Creative Director in 2008.Today I’m responsible for the creative output of the agency across every channel: improving quality, delivering consistency and widening knowledge. Nurturing, training and managing a multi-skilled team is about encouraging as much cross-fertilisation as possible, so that skills, experience and energies are shared, different working methodologies are embraced and ideas are allowed to flourish. I have experience in developing and executing a wide range of multi-media campaigns for The Scottish Government, Worldwide Cancer Research, Food Standards Scotland, ROCKWOOL and Historic Scotland to name a but a few. I have also lectured at both Strathclyde University and Napier University, where I am a mentor to Masters’ students and I have run creative workshops for VisitScotland and Heineken amongst others.To deliver effective solutions that are beautiful as well as practical I believe in creating and executing in-house as much as possible. This ranges from video production, editing and post production to animation, graphics and photography. A tighter-knit, integrated team leads to better quality and better value for you.
