I am an analytical architect and strategic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit. I participate in complex projects or critical challenges, generate ideas and solve issues to create successful outcomes. In my career spanning 26 years as an architect, entrepreneur and business leader in South Africa I have experience and skill in; collective design process management, business startup, business administration, strategic executive duties and governance, financial planning, human resources, transformation, environmental sustainability, project programming, green building systems, construction and property development. I have a hands-on approach working with clients, design teams and contractors to deliver on complex requirements in private, commercial, institutional and government sectors of society and economy.Attained a Bachelor of Architecture in 1995 and B.Arch (Masters equivalent) Degree in 1998 from Wits University, attaining a Merit Award in Architectural Design. I was also awarded the National Architectural Student of the Year for the Design Thesis Project. Registered as a Professional Architect in 1998 and co-founded the architectural firm: Activate Architecture together with partners, built up and ran for 22 years delivering high-performance award-winning architecture with a total construction value over R1 billion. I now seek new challenges and opportunities to engage in ideas and contexts using my core capabilities of environmentally appropriate design, sustainable business practice and good governance with an entrepreneurial spirit.
