As a shareholder at HKM (now HAWS-KM) I worked to help my clients reach their goals, representing them through all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal.My practice covered five core areas: financial services, business disputes, real estate and construction, insurance, and cybersecurity. As part of my commercial, financial services, and business litigation practice, I helped clients navigate shareholder disputes, non-competition agreements, banking and real estate transactions, and other complex commercial transactions. In my insurance practice, I represented insurance companies through coverage disputes and bad faith claims. I also defended insurance agents against negligence and other commercial claims. In my cybersecurity and data privacy practice, I helped clients develop sound cybersecurity practices and data breach response plans, understand their obligations to data subjects, regulators, and other authorities, and represent them in cybersecurity related litigation.

Associate in the Milwaukee office and a member of the Firm’s Litigation practice group. Practice included a wide variety of matters arising from non-competition agreements, trade secrets disputes, financial services, commercial foreclosures, trusts and estates, products liability, toxic tort, and other complex business litigation. Secured several favorable decisions for my clients at nearly every stage of the litigation lifecycle.

During law school, I interned at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District drafting agency policies, reviewing contracts, and assisting staff attorneys with litigation issues.

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

While completing his undergraduate education at the Carlson School of Management, I interned as a Financial Analyst at Bloomington, Minnesota based Donaldson Company, inc. I developed a new financials program that allowed Sales Team Leaders to quickly view sales portfolios for various products across world regions and time periods, among other tasks to support the sales team.
