I am a 'New Energy' enthusiast and express my passion through my strong background in electrochemical energy storage technology. It was during completion of my B.Sc in chemistry that I discovered materials science and the true application of science in innovation, and how this will one day solve many problems with how society harnesses and expends energy. This inspired my pursuit of a Ph.D on a project that involved massive collaboration to develop a direct solar-to-hydrogen fuel device, where I not only made an impactful contribution through the publication of several lead-author papers and meaningful innovation in the field, but learned the nuances of this entire sector of emerging technology that includes electrolysis, solar power, and fuel cells. These successes lead to securing a postdoc position at MIT in the Chemical Engineering laboratories of Paula Hammond, where I continued previous work as well as began my own research project from the ground up on the subject of functional polymer-based composites applied to lithium ion battery electrodes, culminating in a US patent. With an extensive toolbox in energy tech, I am happy to be involved in engineering, sales & marketing, product planning, and customer relations at MCI (a member of the NFI Group) as the battery and electric drive systems subject matter expert as our industry moves to electrified transportation. I am thoroughly enjoying learning all about the automotive industry, which will further my abilities to continue to impact our global transition to New Energy.
