Current•Oversee all aspects of industrial yeast manufacturing. Collaborate with leadership to bridge manufacturing, R&D and sales, in concert with engineering goals, customer feedback, R&D pipeline, pilot testing, sensory, and manufacturing parameters.•Model inspired leadership. Foster a safe work environment, excellent morale, and a sense of equity and inclusion. Promote good organization, effective communication, and creative, collaborative problem solving.•Create detailed job descriptions to establish understanding of responsibilities and expectations. Deliver clear direction for daily operations. Actively seek feedback and practice coaching-in-the-moment. Execute periodic performance reviews and create growth plans. Proactively prevent and quickly diffuse conflicts.•Oversee development and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures for all manufacturing activities. •Maintain a clean, safe, and fully operational facility. Ensure performance of preventative maintenance and daily upkeep.•Supervise production scheduling with data driven decision-making. Meet and improve upon performance indicators in accordance with company goals.•Guarantee products are of the highest quality and every order ships on time. Oversee rigorous QA/QC, guaranteeing vigorous, healthy yeast which is free of contaminants. Foster an environment of critical thinking that empowers the team to assist in identifying and rectifying bottlenecks and instituting improvements to make processes more robust and repeatable. •Improve efficiency while balancing the cost of process modification. Execute buildouts in concert with contractors, equipment purveyors, production team, and leadership. •Support sales team and customers with process advice, best practices, technical expertise and problem solving. Work to rectify any issues with quick, creative solutions. •Represent Berkeley Yeast in a relatable, educational, and compelling manner at industry events and educational seminars.
