Responsible for the design, sourcing and management of basic bedding product lines sold to major US retailers. Responsibilities included but were not limited to product development, technological development, raw material and finished goods inventory management, monitoring industry trends, customer presentation of product lines, competitive analysis and ultimately successful product placements.

Merchandising Manager Blankets – Springs Global US, Inc. – Ft. Mill S.C.February 2008 – June 2008 Responsible for design and sourcing micro-fleece, acrylic, flocked, polyester and cotton blankets and throws. * Designed and sourced blankets and throws domestically and internationally. * Managed supplier relationships and pricing based on world market pricing. * Managed raw materials and finished goods inventory required to service U.S. retailers. * Managed the relocation of our cotton blanket manufacturing equipment and systems from Swannanoa, N.C. to Natal, Brazil.

Plant Manager – Owen Blanket a division of Springs Global, US, Inc. - Swannanoa, N.C.July 2006 – January 2008Responsible for the daily operation of a 24/7 blanket manufacturing facility employing 380 hourly and 44 salaried associatesAccountable for all aspects of operations including safety, product quality, budget adherence, cost of goods sold, profit margin, scheduling, staffing, event planning and ,company policy administration.* Developed and implemented transition plans to relocate 33% of Owen US blanket manufacturing to Brazil. Plans included developing manufacturing processes in Brazil to duplicate US product specifications required for US market consumption. This plan included multiple trips to Brazil to develop manufacturing processes and procedures required to plan and manufacture finished product.* Developed and implemented overhead reduction plan to coincide with production relocation.* Development of a labor and capital budget allowing for greater product profit margin on remaining US manufactured products.
