I am a representative for the student body and I listen to their concerns. Additionally, I work to provide funding to student organizations on campus, attend a plethora of student facing events, meet with faculty and professional staff, and write proposals to create ad-hoc committees or to request funding.

The Intermountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (IACURH) is one of eight affiliated regions of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH). NACURH is the largest student-run nonprofit in the world and aims to develop student leaders who make a positive impact on their community.As a member of the Regional Board of Directors (RBD) within IACURH, I remotely assist Residence Hall Association (RHA) Chapters and NRHH Chapters who are affiliated with NACURH. In my specific role as the IA-ADNRHH, I support NRHH Chapter Leaders by providing them with tools and resources they need to make their chapters succeed in both serving and developing their residential community. My work can range from writing more clear policy to implementing regional-wide programmatic efforts, and that's just the surface of what I do.

Advise students in registering for their classes.Connect new students to campus resources to support their physical, mental, and academic wellbeing.Well-versed with university’s campus map to direct students to the proper facilities related to their major, the dining hall, or any of their other needs.Facilitate discussions surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion, to expose students to an education system that’s filled with new perspectives, differing ideologies or beliefs, and a wide range of backgrounds.

Conduct comprehensive job interview processes and assess candidates on their qualifications.Organize engaging teambuilding activities to better connect 8 team members with each other.Pilot an updated training and transition process for the executive board of the Residence Hall Association.Receive and address feedback on programmatic and team-oriented efforts in order to better the organization.Resolve internal departmental and team conflicts to prevent hostility within the Residence Hall Association.

Collaborate with multiple organizations to plan campus-wide events for around 300 attendees to both enhance the student experience and create community across campus.Communicate between organizations on a regional and national scale to clarify chapter requirements with the regional and national charters of the National Association and College University Residence Halls.Develop collaborative documents for consistent communication within the chapter’s internal functions.Facilitate both regional and national initiatives on a campus level to better support the residence halls of UNC.

Be in an on-call, crisis response rotation, and connect students to emergency resources (if necessary).Check in with students about their mental health needs through one-on-one meetings to support their wellbeing outside of the classroom and for many of them their transition period of living on their own for the first time.Create informative bulletin boards and flyers surrounding residential education.Planned and put on events that assisted in creating a tightknit community of residents.
