With Diageo, I am more of a 'business consultant' than a simple sales rep. My role is to liaise with clients in the take-home trade, such as off-licence and supermarket managers, to help them grow their off-licence sales. I do this by creating and sustaining brilliant customer relationships, enhanced by best in class commercial collaboration.A large portion of my job is customer relationship management, learning about the unique aspects of each fascia or store. This knowledge, supported by the use of EYC (store specific data) helps me to tailor my offering to these stores. To these store owners and managers, I am their "face of Diageo", and therefore I represent the company - and our relationship with them.This role requires me to have a depth of knowledge of Diageo products, their target markets, and which products may work best in particular stores or areas.I also coordinate all new product launches for my region, liaising between each outlet and our headquarters in Dublin ensuring timely and smooth new product releases, driving sales across a variety of RTM channels.
