I have worked in the technology field for over twenty-five years as an analyst, private consultant, technical writer and as an information systems manager in the commercial, education and non-profit sectors.My professional roots are in the non-profit field, where I began my career as a mental health and crisis hotline counselor. My technical experience grew out of supporting systems which utilized referral information and call statistics critical to day-to-day operations. I have worked in the for-profit sector providing marketing, technical writing, quality assurance, and software support for businesses serving the local government market. As an administrator, I have been responsible for organization-wide management of server operations, network infrastructure, database applications and technology initiatives for non-profit and academic institutions. I have managed a range of technologies, systems, and projects including EHR and financial applications, telecommuncations overhauls, broadcast-quality video production and LMS platforms.For over 15 years I have been the owner and lead technologist at techconnect llc, founded to serve businesses, organizations and individuals that might not otherwise have access to affordable support for their specific technology needs. For the past five years I have been the Systems Analyst at Saratoga County Department of Mental Health and Addictions services, where we successfully transitioned a hybrid records system to a fully functioning EHR for billing and clinical management.
