World Relief partners with the local church to catalyze a movement of change in some of the world's most challenging places. As director of church partnerships, my role is to serve pastors and equip churches in ministries of compassion and justice. I am responsible for planning and implementing fundraising and engagement strategies with major church partners that leads to meaningful change in the church, as well as sustainable change in the communities we serve. Also, I am called upon to be a public spokesman and ambassador for World Relief as needed.

> Managed a team of 7 reps serving major church partners for World Vision in our region, which encompassed 34 states plus the District of Columbia.> Met or surpassed team revenue and sponsorship goals each year.> Met or surpassed personal goals each year.> Position based in Cincinnati - but worked nationally, with international travel.

Greater Seattle Area

> Served on the national Church Engagement team to resource our field officers by developing and expanding effective church partnerships in the US.> Created and developed innovative resources for churches to respond to global need in meaningful ways (e.g., AIDS Caregiver Kits, Faith in Action).> Provided leadership in the creation and development of video based plug and play curriculum programs for churches (e.g., START>, Gospel Quest).> Expanded World Vision’s service among denominations by creating a co-branded resources that helped finance joint field projects (e.g., Church of the Nazarene).> Provided leadership and organizational development assistance to dynamic ministry partnerships that serve and resource both local churches and the field (e.g., Y Malawi).> Management of staff, both direct reports and contract, and provided leadership on integrated project teams.

> Managed staff for a small DC-based NGO, providing leadership and direction, staff development, problem solving, conflict management, project management, and prioritization around agreed upon objectives.> Developed infrastructure to support and sustain the organization, including communications and connectivity, management systems, administration and organization needs, and systems and controls for finance and accounting.> Wrote policies and procedures for staff development (human resources), and financial management.> Created an interactive websystem for the organization which provided a dynamic interactive platform for the faith-based community to access resources, share best practices, mobilize volunteers, and influence decision making through advocacy.

> Participated on the leadership team of more than 100 people, including national and international staff.> Developed a strategic direction planning process for World Relief, and provided training in that process for leadership and staff.> Created a scenario forecasting process that we used in anticipating and adjusting for change, which helped us become more proactive and less reactive to circumstances.> Set up various partnerships using a relationship development model with various international agencies, domestic organizations, churches and denominations.> Numerous public speaking engagements including preaching, teaching, retreats and training.
