I provide both Group Psychotherapy and Counseling. I have successfully taken the Canadian Group Psychotherapy Training Program and am now a Certified Group Psychotherapist. From a professional and personal point of view, I have found that being involved in the profession in a number of different capacities has helped me feel more gratification in my practice of medicine. One of my central interests is the Educational Collaboration of GP-Psychotherapy with Family Medicine and with Psychiatry. I also have been involved in many other professional activities related to the provision of high-quality, ethical medical practice including educational sessions at the OPA and the GPPA on boundary issues in psychotherapy. My keen enthusiasm and commitment to medical education has not gone unnoticed by my colleagues. I won (1995) the prestigious W. T. Aikins Award for my contributions to undergraduate medical education at the University of Toronto for “demonstrated excellence in course development and coordination”. Currently, I am in the process of implementing a number of professional development opportunities for my fellow colleagues including a focus on therapeutic and medical boundaries.
