Spearheaded strategies to advance the recruitment and engagement of 1,800 volunteers, ensuring alignment with national standards and organizational goals. By restructuring department operations and redefining its vision, I oversaw the hiring, performance management, and development of both paid staff and volunteers, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team. I led large-scale programs and multiple initiatives, streamlining processes, monitoring progress, and achieving a 24% increase in volunteer recruitment and placement within the first year.

LOGISTICS COORDINATOR (DIRECTOR) / Ukraine / 2022Managed technical and operational logistic needs for the OCP Emergency Desk across Ukraine. Hired, trained, and managed the logistics field team. Implemented disaster preparedness plans, worked with international & national counterparts to streamline response, and developed organizational capacity/strategy.LOGISTICS TEAM LEADER (PROGRAM MANAGER) / Sudan / 2021-22Developed and managed the first logistics team & activities at the Mygoma Orphanage. Identified and oversaw ambitious reconstruction project across the compound. Hired, trained, and managed all staff.LOGISTICS MANAGER (PROJECT MANAGER) / Kenya / 2019Managed a logistics team (32 staff) in support of field and hospital based activities, which were focused on HIV/AIDs & TB treatment in western Kenya. Restructured the team, implemented standards, and mobilized team to efficiently accomplish objectives. LOGISTICS MANAGER (PROJECT MANAGER) / South Sudan / 2017-18Managed logistics (overseeing a team of 40) for two remote sites in South Sudan and Sudan. General duties included staff management, security, supply chain, fleet management, and disaster preparedness, and much much more.

Managed a team of 10 Regional Directors covering all of Eastern PA (from Scranton to the Collar Counties to Harrisburg). As the campaign scaled up took on responsibility for the all important Philadelphia Collar Counties, managing a team of 60+. Increased voter turnout in the those counties by field margins leading to a win in all counties- and eventually for the state.

Scaled up a field strategy and program for a Congressional House race in Central PA as fast as humanly possible. Hired a team of field organizers and volunteer coordinators, developed trainings for staff and volunteers, and developed a volunteer network from 100 people to over 1200 people.

Communicated with city officials, partners, and state organizers about all aspects of transportation logistics to the March and within the city of DC. Contracted services from private partners, developed assets with local volunteers, and developed comprehensive plans for the safe movement of marchers throughout the city.

Developed, implemented, and coordinated transportation & security plans in support of HFA at the 2016 DNC.Identified, monitored, and advised on potential trouble areas across Pennsylvania leading up to and during the 2016 election.

Managed a refugee resettlement program in the city of Philadelphia. Focus of work was on developing management systems, creating tailored tools in conjunction with those systems, and improving capability of staff and organization to deliver its core services.

I've had the joy of working with a number of different organizations and missions over the years which aren't reflected here or on my resume. The reason being, the work was shorter term (usually around two months), and in general was a 40 hour per week commitment (whereas work on campaigns and with Doctors Without Borders has always been 12+ hour days, 7 days a week). Short term assignment to fulfill an aspect of Futures Group's grant, from USAID, focused on developing sustainability. Worked with a rural NGO on a daily basis to build from scratch their management systems, from financial to programmatic to administrative. Developed tailored management systems, trained the staff, and left the organization with the tools, procedures, and capabilities it needed to continue once the grant from USAID had completed.

Developed this first time position to reactivate a number of volunteer committees that had either ceased to exist or weren't highly active. In this pursuit, successfully organized conferences, helped launch websites, develop marketing materials, engage members in lobbying events, conduct meetings and SWOTs, reinvigorate the volunteers, and much more.

Managed important partnerships to ensure a higher standard was applied to special projects and grants. Coordinated projects between corporate partners and affiliate members, oversaw all aspects of special grants management, developed plans for ongoing partnerships, and streamlined organizational practices and procedures.

Managed community development projects all across the U.S. that taught communities how to recruit volunteers, solicit donations of many types, organize and promote projects, and bring communities together around a common goal. Consistently and successfully lead unique projects that were of significance to the organization that required the highest level of execution.

Two years in Eastern Ukraine, the first American ever in the small town of Zmiov. Tasked with teaching English as a foreign language in the one school there, but took on numerous other projects focused on civic engagement and education. Learned just as much from the people and the experience than I could ever begin to explain in this short description.
