Proficient in using 3D modeling software (primarily Tekla Structures) to design steel members/assemblies/structures.Manage the Building Information Modeling (BIM) requirements on large scale projects.Use BIM to coordinate trade work with general contractors and sub-contractors.Manage a team of detailers to assist in project design.Integrate design requirements from architectural drawings, engineer drawings, and job contract specifications.Coordinate with steel shops to improve fabrication efficiency and meet quality standards.Coordinate with field ironworkers and field superintendents to improve field installation efficiency and meet job site schedules.Utilize Fabsuite to manage material through the manufacturing phase.Knowledge of California Building Codes relating to steel construction.
