I was part of the R&D Team that developed HP's new Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology! I developed dozens of unique components for medium/high volume manufacturing. I designed hardware solutions from idea to prototype through tooling & production. Later in this role I traveled overseas to support the assembly line by troubleshooting & developing work instructions. I was responsible for dozens of parts and assemblies including injection molded, thermoformed, & die-cut plastics, sheet metal, cabling, and even production MJF 3D printed parts. Contract ended 2Nov2018 due to completing product development cycle.

I worked primarily in the custom mechanical testing department of Accutek Testing Laboratory. We performed destructive mechanical testing to provide our customers with data on their product's mechanical properties. For me, this involved designing and building custom test fixtures and machines, quoting potential projects, and operating test machines. My favorite projects were those requiring the construction of brand new test machines such as a multi-station chain wear machine, high & low temperature test chambers, and hydraulic wedge grips. Accutek gave me the opportunity to hone my skills with 3D modeling and designing mechanical devices.

Second time working for the EPA, I reported daily to a large manufacturer in Southern Illinois in search of opportunities for pollution prevention. I was able to recommend projects which not only reduced energy consumption and prevented waste production, but also generated savings from reduced energy consumption. This included the use of technologies such as motor VFD's, modern lighting options, heating and cooling upgrades, and energy efficient appliances.

First time with EPA in 2010, I reported to a railroad company daily. Their facility was in desperate need of technical upgrades and renovation. I was able to recommend energy efficiency projects which made both environmental and financial sense.
