Before I became a Finance and Operations Manager, I was a Finance and Operations Associate. In this position I gained the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed as a Finance and Operations Manager once I was promoted.Some of my duties as an associate included:• Manage company-wide billing process to verify that all invoices and payments are recorded correctly.• Established account suspension process for non-paying clients to prevent large unpaid balances from accumulating, resulting in a 20% reduction in outstanding invoices• Collaborated with 8 different departments to create uniform policies/procedures that would maximize accounting and operational efficiency• Performed monthly revenue analysis for the Director of Finance. All discrepancies were reconciled and forecasted revenue vs. actual revenue was compared during this analysis• Led a developer team to overhaul a company-wide Customer Resource Management system, resulting in stronger internal controls and a reliable reporting system that streamlined the sales process• Performed various accounting and operational duties like bookkeeping, A/P, employee training, new solution implementation, etc.
