Software Engineering Projects Supervisor
Supervisor in the Department of Computing & Information Systems.Supervisor of penultimate and final year undergraduate students and masters students undertaking projects in Software Engineering. In this role I am both a mentor and a teacher to students as they apply their knowledge in a practical environment.The projects teach technical and managerial skills in software engineering, including quality process design, business analysis and project management. The students undertake software development projects for clients in a real-world environment, completing the software development lifecycle by undertaking requirements elicitation and analysis, software design, software development and integration, testing and product release.By engaging with students in the classroom, in workshops and in real-world scenarios I impart technical knowledge as well as mentor students through the projects. As an experienced educator I've been directly involved in the design and evolution of the curriculum into the University's “Melbourne Model” course structure, having also received an Excellence in Tutoring Award in 2009.
