I verified and tracked 1,852 work packages and 3500+ component unit phases during the ships most recent 6 month overhaul. As a result 7,951 mechanical / electrical repairs were safely accomplished within scheduled completion dates and in accordance with regulatory standards. S. naval assets home-ported in Japan that were affected by the 2011 Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster. I collected, analyzed and published two years of collected data for examination of radiological impacts to 80+ local resources and the general public. As a result guidelines, procedures and inspection techniques developed were later adopted into the civilian sector to regulate contamination on ships returning to continental United States.To fill a need in the command, I also qualified Radiation Safety Officer to oversee x-ray radiation safety and analytical equipment programs and manage NAVSEA Radiological Affairs Support Program Contract Oversight Management Authorization. Additionally, I tended to 78 inductees in preparation for Naval training Center by managing conflicts and concerns, verifying record accuracy and ensuring each member's preparedness based on individual needs. Individually awarded 22 citations and distinctions and 3 Navy Achievement medals for personal achievement. Station was recognized six times for outstanding production. Subordinate personnel received a total 61 individual awards.One of my most rewarding occupation in the Navy, I enlisted high quality Sailors which to this day I keep in contact with mentor.
