In the Spring of 2012 myself with help from the founding class of 12, created a fraternity on the campus of Winona State University. The other Greek organizations had a bad reputation for mistreatment and lack of respect for fellow students. With a media plan that involved extensive charity and on campus work that promoted various philanthropies and anti-hazing, we changed the reputation on campus.The largest fraternity on campus before us was 13 at a university that has 3500 male students. We recruited with our reputation of hard working and caring individuals and quadrupled that size under my presidency and received nominations for chapter of the year from our HQ in Missouri, bypassing elite chapters at Alabama, Purdue, and Auburn. Managing the recruitment, social media, and managing 50 members was a rewarding experience that lead to most of the skills I take into the professional world today.
