After graduating as a student-athlete from Claremont McKenna College studying Engineering Science and Economics, I am now playing professional basketball in Spain averaging 25 PPG, 57% 3FG, 51% 2FG, and 89% FT (through week 7). My collegiate athletic career was highlighted by back-to-back All-American honors, back-to-back Conference Player of the Year honors, and three Conference Regular Season and Postseason Championships. I shot 90% from the free throw line and 42% from the three point line over my four year career, setting several school records along the way.Apart from basketball, I had the opportunity to involve myself in a breadth of extracurriculars: start a Christian Athletes ministry on campus, serve the campus community as a Resident Assistant, develop and share my love for the outdoors with a nationally recognized role with the National Park Service, get involved in impactful community service, and conduct research alongside renowned faculty.My senior thesis project explained how the technologies added to the athletic shoe within the past several decades are likely to blame for the pervasive experience of athletic injuries, specifically in the American endurance runner. I proposed an experiment that combines a gradual, multi-step transition to a more natural-fitting shoe with the aid of rehabilitation exercises. I am still developing this experiment and am interested in carrying it out on an actual test population in the future (see Publications section for access to the thesis).I consider myself a lifelong student who desires to become a better version of myself each day. Each person and experience holds something from which I can learn.
