My role was providing prosthetic treatment and services to the Wounded Warriors stationed or returning to Fort Bragg, the world's largest military institution. Many of my patients experienced multiple amputations and were still jumping with the 82nd Airborne Division and many were preparing and rehabing to return for another tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Director & Chief of Depar;tment of Prostheics & Orthotics at DUMC, an internationally renowned patient care and research center. Also, Assistant Clinical Professor, Division of Orthopaedic Surgery, Department of Surgery. Directed all patient care and practice management services in a department of 30+ professionals and admin. support. Leader of research activities within the department. Invited lecturer across entire US and a dozen international settings. Publisher of text book and Atlas chapters, numerous peer-reviewed articles in scientific and clinical journals, and was featured in television specials about prosthetic technology and advances shown on Discovery, Discovery Health, and Science tv shows. Served as editor of orthotics and prosthetics scientific and clinical journal, 1992 -1996, and served as President of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (1995) and as President of the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (2000).
