- Established through an extensive Self-Funded & Self-Initiated Research and Development program in respect to the Global Pilot Shortage. - Planing and prep work for Tailspinners began in 2008, however it was not util 2013 that construction could begin. - Tailspinners was a first of its kind prototype facility positioned as a Flight Club / Flight School / Fitness Center / Coffee Bistro. - The facility was designed to be a "Country Club" type atmosphere to establish a sustainable method to keeping Aviators and future Aviators in the air. - The facility was transitioned to it's future leadership in 2017, who established the facility as the Windwalker Aero Club. - Unfortunately due to the lack of reasonable demands from the State (airport owner) and Local community in respect to what little revenue is made by running a flight training operation, as the COVID-19 Pandemic set in, the facility was ultimately shuttered and efforts at the site location had to be abandoned as a result of the lockdown..... While efforts by the Federal Government to put support programs together eventually occurred and evolved, I was told the operational group received roughly $1,000.00 of federal support, which in respect to what it takes to maintain high standards of safety for flight training, one could say understandably it was enough to officially close the initiative down at the respective airfield.
