Subsequently, I served as an Associate Director, reporting directly to Kelvin Ni, GM of Corporate Banking Department. I successfully onboarded and managed a portfolio of corporate and institutional clients in key sectors including dairy, forestry, meat, food & beverage, and manufacturing. Notably, I initiated and established a RMB 1.5 billion (NZ$300 million) multi-currency bank facility for Fonterra as their first Relationship Manager at BOCNZ.The Corporate Banking Department was renamed the Corporate & Institutional Banking Department in 2022.

Joined Bank of China Head Office in 2009 through BOC Graduate Programmes, a national recruitment campaign that covered major universities across 34 provinces of China. Out of a pool of over 100,000 fresh graduates that applied, I emerged as one of the successful candidates.After joining the Head Office, I worked in the Global Trade Services Department, one of the top departments at the Head Office of Bank of China, renowned as the best bank in China for its Global Trade Services. I serviced Fortune 500 multinational corporations to meet their trade finance needs.

Interned at A.T. Kearney, worked with two management consultants, researched and analyzed project data in aviation, logistics, and automotive industries. Conducted cold calls for primary data collection and communicated with suppliers and industry experts.

During my Year 2 winter break, I participated in a two-month internship program at KPMG Beijing Office as one of 20 interns. I audited accounts for a Porsche dealer in Beijing, implemented analytical and vouching tests, and improved efficiency by creating and modifying spreadsheets for loan and payment transactions. This experience laid the foundation for securing two auditor job offers in 2019 after graduation, one from KPMG and the other from PwC.
