Hello, I'm Michael!I have been studying at Portland State's School of Art and Design for the past four years to develop my skills as a Graphic Designer. My strengths lie in illustration and page layout. Although I can be somewhat reserved, I love working with others in any situation to get things done. put me to any task and I will see it through to the best of my abilities. I previously worked as a Lifeguard with Portland Parks and Recreation, splitting my time between indoor and outdoor pools based in the season. It was there that I learned many emergency action skills including rescue and first aid. Working with a team was imperative for this position, and through rigorous drills and practice, I learned proper communication skills for timely and organized support. Currently I work as a Store Floater at New Seasons Market Hawthorne. In this position I attend to the needs of the store's various departments, lending a supporting hand wherever I go. This means I have experience in many avenues: Grocery, Prepared Foods, Front end / Register support, Housekeeping, and even a little bit of floral arrangement. This position speaks to my flexibility and willingness to take on any task, especially if it means helping out my fellow coworkers.
