Michael Bruner is an American songwriter and producer based out of Bloomington, Indiana.Bruner’s debut EP Time With You drops September 23. His two singles “yeah yeah” and “all the pressure” trace the landscape of a chaotic relationship. This project will be supported by Splice and SoundCloud’s Nova Artist Partnership Program. In addition to solo releases, Bruner is also making a name for himself in the world of sound design with his release of ASMR Soul on Splice Sounds. Reaching #6 in the Splice charts, his pack received praise from Vaughn of Oliver Powertools III, one of the most popular producers on Splice. On August 24, Bruner and Ronin (of 53 Thieves) released their single “Way Out” through Majestic Casual Records. The two are gearing up for a full EP released in November, including a full visualizer on Majestic Casual’s YouTube channel. Bruner’s production work first appeared on Mikayla Geier’s debut single “Deja You” which has amassed over 1 million hits on Spotify. More recently, he was featured on Continuum Music’s Anniversary EP “It Wasn’t Supposed To Go Like This” receiving praise from Kenny Beats and his followers on live on Twitch. His involvement with the music community includes collaboration and education, providing insight into the creative process as a lifestyle rather than a serious matter. His influences span decades, from CSNY, The Isley Brothers, Joni Mitchell, & J Dilla to contemporary artists such as Bonobo, Verzache, Joji, and Charlie Puth. The young producer also takes heavy influence from movie and videogame soundtracks including Studio Ghibli films, The Legend Of Zelda, Pokemon, and Cavestory. Bruner embraces physical movement as an essential to creative growth and overall wellbeing. He feels that his music is most authentic when he freely incorporates material from all aspects of his life, no matter the source.
