An interim RN position performing Ambulatory Care clinical duties: Performed skilled nursing care in an ambulatory and urgent care settings all patient age groups, albeit; neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, mother-baby, family practice and geriatrics. Multi-system assessment and pertinent interventions, specifically in diabetes management, etoh withdrawal, paps, fetal monitoring, diabetic wound care, casting, and una boots, IV therapy – methotrexate, hydration therapy, stasis ulcers, decubitus ulcers, childhood immunizations, obstetrics and neonatal care. Urgent Care clinical duties: Multi-system assessment and pertinent interventions related to cardiac emergencies, epilepsy, child abuse, labor and delivery, DKA, knife wounds, gunshot wounds, MVA's, ETOH abuse/withdrawal, domestic violence, and industrial accidents. Started IV's, maintained IV therapies, interpreted 12 lead EKG's, rapid cardiac intervention following ACLS protocol, IV medication administration, blood draws for labs, interpretation of labs, wound care and case management. This facility is the only hospital/clinic within 90 miles of a major city.

An outpatient opioid treatment facility: The clinic's objective with the patient population was to prevent recidivism into active disease process of addictions related to opioid dependence. Our physicians and clinical staff accomplished this by removing Methadone from the patient formulary, replacing this addictive drug with Suboxone a non-addictive drug used as a discreet and effective treatment for opioid dependence. Our clinical trials reduced recidivism from 95% on Methadone to 12% on Suboxone.• Managed facility, staff of 50+ employees, daily operations, and oversight of clinic.• Ensured quality indicators maintained for JCAHO standards and patient satisfaction.• Performed routine rounds within clinic to monitor prompt, quality delivery of patient care. Maintained safety and compliance standards.• Recruited and retained 100% of nursing staff up to 1st anniversary of facility.• Expanded volume and patient services within 1st year requiring additional providers who had patients needing outpatient opiate treatment.• Streamlined efficiency and productivity of services, staff education and time management with staff.
