Building a member experience framework with an emphasis on looking at the organisation from the customers point of view and holistically has resulted in consistently strong, year on year growth.Driving strategic outcomes through consistent execution has also been a hallmark of success bringing teams along through transparency and involving them in the goal setting and pathways.A background in sales assisted when taking on the membership acquisition and retention role at AICD and this has led to continuing development in improvement of the member value proposition.Working with multiple stakeholders to drive the required member experience outcome has been a strength and the State Manager role has highlighted the need to work with this wide range in order to optimise AICD's position in the Victorian and National governance and business fields.Organisations need to hear the voice of the customer, even when this can be challenging and I have a demonstrated ability to talk to customers from all walks of life no matter how difficult the conversation. This 'voice of the customer' needs to be heard throughout an organisation so all branches can understand their place in the whole experience. Increasingly customer engagement will be done digitally however a balanced approach should be developed as the face to face interaction is an extremely valuable tool, especially when working through problems.Working with Division Council and AICD Victoria's regional and special interest committees has built up another valuable network which drives member engagement.Communication and regular contact with the teams has been crucial in navigating the COVID-19 crisis and positioning the organisation for the changes of the next few months and years.Be yourself and treat everyone as you yourself would like to be treated is a simple dictum but one I have tried to follow.
