I am a facilitator, connecting people, ideas and opportunities. I have built my career around that ability, as a Partner in the Ottawa office of Odgers Berndtson executive search. What often starts as a casual, or exploratory, conversation leads to working with some of Canada’s top employers on critical mandates across a variety of sectors and functions. As an area of focus, I specialize in recruiting top candidates into leadership roles in the not-for-profit, charitable and technology sectors. I enjoy working very closely with both clients and candidates, providing strategic guidance throughout the search process. In 2018, I was named a Forty Under 40 recipient, one of Ottawa’s most prestigious business awards. My passion for connecting people and ideas alongside my entrepreneurial focus has also afforded me the ability to act as an Advisor to PayShepherd, a Calgary-based SaaS start-up focussed on disrupting the heavy industry. The platform reduces maintenance spends (in Pulp and Paper, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, etc.) and is geared towards significant growth. As an advisor, my focus has been on overall business strategy, distribution, sales delivery and motion, social capital, fundraising (seed stage), and key investor introductions. I am drawn to innovation and creativity – I enjoy interacting with people to discover their motivations and their challenges and assisting them in realizing their goals, and sharing in their successes. I am energized by meeting new people and hearing new perspectives.
