Michael joined Aliro Group as Head of Transaction and Fund Manager in August 2021. Aliro is a property development, investment and funds management group that works with a diverse range of capital partners to establish, grow and actively manage sector specific property vehicles focused on delivering enduring value for both customers and partners. Aliro executives have a consistent track record of development and value enhancing execution across more than $12bn worth of Australian real estate projects over the last three decades, with a recent focus on the industrial sector. Leveraging 15 years’ experience in the real estate sector working across transactions, funds management and asset management, through Australia and Europe, Michael assumes responsibility for transactions and is Fund Manager for Aliro's Industrial Value Fund ("AGIVF").

Michael is the Fund Manager for EG's $1bn Australian Core Enhanced fund. His responsibilities include acquisitions, investor relations, determining asset strategy and delivering on those strategies through active asset management. Michael has over 13 years’ experience in the industry and has worked on over $1.5bn of transactions, asset management and development projects. This includes experience in Australia and European markets. His responsibilities focus on the implementation of asset strategy, primarily through tenant negotiations and the appointment and management of property managers, leasing agents and a variety of external parties.Prior to joining the team in 2011, Michael spent the past five years working as a consultant in the property industry. Most recently Michael spent four years working for Aurecon's (formerly Connell Wagner) property division specialising in the design and development of sustainable buildings.Michael holds a Masters Degree in Property from the University of Melbourne and Bachelor Degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Engineering also from the University of Melbourne. Michael is also a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Australian Property Institute.
