Graduating from Stanford with a PhD in 1987, and UC Berkeley with a BS in EE and CS, Mike has coauthored a textbook on Digital Control of Dynamic Systems with two colleagues at Stanford, a reference text on Magnetic Recording, dozens of papers on diverse topics including storage, fireworks manufacture, aquascaping, and winemaking as well as four editions of blog compilations on the storage industry. Mike has been featured in Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and appeared on NBC’s Power Lunch Live as well as live prime time news programs in Europe with live audiences of over 18 million.
