I am a senior at University of North Carolina pursuing a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Global Studies: Health in Latin America. I am also completing minors in Spanish for the Medical Professions, Chemistry, and Medicine, Literature, and Culture. I aspire to continue my education to earn a Masters and a M.D. In my future career, I desire to combat local and global health disparities by addressing medicine in an interdisciplinary fashion. Through various leadership positions, research at UNC's Medical Genetics Department, and over 600 hours of community service, I have exceeded my own expectations and goals in my journey at UNC so far. I approach every new experience with the same attitude; I intend to give it my very best and nothing less.
