Hi, my name is Micheal. Let me start with why I've had three jobs in my working career.Well, let me start with Tim Hortons I started working for Tim Hortons when I was 16 years old. I was a very shy individual then, but I stuck to it, and with hard work and dedication I became the youngest supervisor in just under 2 years. This job has taught me many skills, such as team leadership, management, customer service, responsibility, and dealing with negative customer behavior that can get unsafe and hostile. This fast-paced, highly demanding job has taught me how to stay on my toes and always be ready for a new challenge. Secondly, starting in the summer of 2021, I stepped out of the supervisor role and transitioned into an outdoor working environment for the City of Burlington. I love being outdoors, cutting grass, and working for the City of Burlington, where I am the third generation to work for this corporation. This was always on my bucket list. I loved the people and the job so much that I went back for a second and third year as a temp. More recently, I had the opportunity to showcase my business skills in the Business Services department, where I spent four months working within RPF operations, participating in the Workday rollout, assisting in seasonal hiring, and using Avantis software for data entry. I've learned additional hands-on transferable skills from my work in Business Services—such as financial analytics, record retention bylaws, and proficiency with City software like Workday and Avantis.I'm now temping and completing my Winter contract as a corporate intern, with hopes of achieving a full-time position within my field, (Honours) Bachelor of Commerce.
