Michel led the buy-out of the Guernsey based shareholders of Altair to form Arolla Partners, a Guernsey based Independent Director services business.

Since July 2013 Michel has been acting as a Non-Executive Director on a number of General Partner and Investment Manager’s of some leading European Private Equity houses.Michel has more than 19 years financial services experience and having spent 11 years at leading fund administration businesses, Ipes, where he spent three years as Managing Director of the Guernsey business.His experience included working with various funds structures in both private equity and real estate, including buy-out, venture capital, mezzanine, renewable energy and fund of fund structures where he served as a Director of General Partner and Investment Manager boards. Whilst at Ipes Michel also supported the Company’s commercial strategy and undertook a Client Relationship Management role for Guernsey clients in addition to leading the ‘take on’ of new business, liaising with the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.Michel also served as a member of the Guernsey Investment Fund Association's Executive Committee (GIFA), 2011-2013 and continues to work on the Marketing Sub-Committee whilst also a member of the local branch of the Institute of Directors – (IoD). Michel is currently undertaking the IoD course in Company Direction with a view to becoming a Chartered Director and is also a board member of local charity – Autism Guernsey LBG. Michel trained with Ernst & Young Guernsey and qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) in 2000. At Ernst & Young, Michel’s main focus was the audit and supervision of various closed ended and open ended investment funds. Michel graduated from the University of Brighton with an Upper Second bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration and a Diploma in Business French.Michel is a dual national, (British / French) and is married with two children and resides in Guernsey.

Michel has co-established Altair Guernsey Limited as Altair Partners expands across the Channel Islands. Altair Guernsey Limited is regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission and specialises in the provision of Director Services.

Since May 2015 Michel has become a Consultant of Altair Partners Limited, a corporate group specialising in the provision of Independent Non-Executive Director services.
