Michel has more than 30 years of experience dealing with advertisers in the pharmaceutical and health industries:_ He started as a medical representative for Searle Laboratories in 1976, before being promoted Hospital Representative. He was promoted to Trainer and then to Training Director between 1980 and 1986. He was appointed Gastroenterology Product Range Director, a position he held until 1987._ He then joined the Glaxo Laboratories as Cardiology and Dermatology Group Leader before being recruited by Torrent Healthworld. Between 1989 and 1992, Michel worked as a sales director and then as a development and strategy director._ Subsequently, Michel took on the responsibility of the Ogilvy Zoe Medical management team. In 1996, under his impetus, the WWP group European Health Agencies joined forces under the “CommonHealth” name._ In 1998, Michel became the CEO of Euro RSCG Healthcare France in 1998, and was Managing Partner & CEO Europe/Asia of Euro RSCG Life Worldwide when he left the Havas group end of 2007_ Michel joined Publicis as President Europe of Publicis Healthcare Communications Group in December 2007_ In May 2008, Michel decided to come back to Havas as Worlwide Managing Partner, Chaiman EMEA / APAC & Chaiman Global Brands of Euro RSCG Life Worldwide_Michel was the President of “AACC Sante” (French Healthcare Communication Agencies Association) until 2007 and has been recently elected Chairman of “EACA HCC” (European Association of Communication Agencies, Health Communication Council)_ A frequent guest speaker, Michel’s most recent speech topics include “How to work with a healthcare agency”, “What does ‘International’ mean in the healthcare business?” and “DTC, Health communication and Consumer Media”. Michel teaches courses at ESCP, ESC Rennes and ESSEC, famous business schools in France, where he instructs future product managers.
