I have launched new products, quality improvements and cost savings on the markets. Some examples:- Platform for North American market: new multifunctional control and accessories (electronics, burners ...) for gas fireplaces has conquered the market because it has superior performance and reliability, thanks to the integration of the electronics with an innovative fluid-dynamic circuit (which I patented) and with an electrical actuator developed and industrialized with a Taiwanese supplier.- Multifunctional control for European Market: new electrovalve and pressure regulator for boilers with costs, dimensions, sound emissions and accuracy improved thanks to newly developed and original electromagnetic circuit design, actuation techniques (mechatronics) and mechanism for setting the membrane- Valve for Mexican Market: revamping of an existing product for low-end appliances, it has conquered the top-of-the-range market thanks to the addition of functions (which I have patented) and thanks to the aesthetic design- Reduction of the cost of a solenoid valve: halved the amount of copper in the coil winding of a high-runner electrovalve, optimizing the trade off cost / performance- Quality improvement: redesigned the geometry and re-industrialized the process of winding copper and coil spool materials to improve resistance to overvoltage and corrosion. Returns from the field for defective coils zeroed and market shares increased. - Improvement of work organization: I have introduced lean methodologies for the management of cross-functional projects, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of teamwork. The projects managed with Visual Planning respected the time / cost / quality objectives. - Intellectual Property: with Italian and American patent consultants identified a solution to avoid and invalidate 12 competitors' patents. Obtained the patent freedom to develop a new platform.

Responsible for Design & Testing, for the Product Development of Platforms and for the Quality improvement of valves for Europe and the USA, with 6 people and an annual budget of around € 100k. Main results obtained:- New family of valves for tumble dryers and stoves: design, test and industrialization. - Customization of existing multi-functional controls: developed and industrialized customizations of the existing valve for boilers to acquire new customers.- Quality improvement: the components of the magnetic circuit of a solenoid valve have been redesigned to eliminate defects in the line functional checks. Line defects zeroed. - New voice coil actuator for fuel cells: developed and industrialized in codesign with the Korean supplier a moving coil actuator, without sliding friction. The actuator has top of the range performance. - Cost reduction: developed a fixing system with overmoulded plastic to improve the locking of a solenoid valve and avoid scraps and rework. - Problem solving of complaints: in codesign with research centers, I have solved critical situations from the field caused by complex interactions of thermal, chemical and mechanical degradation on rubber, plastic and metal parts. Line downs and business losses avoided.

I designed a new steering axle with independent suspension, which was the progenitor of a range of products still in production. I cut the development time in half thanks to 3D CAD design and extensive use of FEM simulations.
