My first year returning back to Tillys I successfully pulled off opening a pop up store with 6 weeks notice and a 3 week construction schedule. Removed a lawsuit left by my predecessor from our lawyers and negotiated a settlement which released a million dollars in tenant allowance. After landlord kicked us out of our space, had 60 days to put together a temp store, no drawings, wrote up full scope with 4 weeks construction time. With 6 weeks notice turned a closed retail store into a Tillys with no drawings in an 8 week time frame, this was the lowest cost Tillys in history. Opened a clearance store using in-house staff in a 3 week timeframe with no drawings, and opened 4 new full design locations.In charge of the Construction Department, two direct reports, new stores, remodels, pop-ups, and special projects. Manage Budgets, Architects, General Contractors, and Vendors. Work closely with other departments during buildouts to provide a clean new retail space on time and within budget.

Manage General Contractors in the successful completion of opening new, remodeled and expansion retail stores on time, on budget and with high quality expectations. Balanced a very high volume of stores in various degrees of construction. Handled several open store remodels. Responsible for the build out of the following brands; Chico’s, White House-Black Market and Soma. Worked out of home office with 50% travel.

Manage multiple new and remodel retail projects from a pre & post-deal approval through construction closeout. In charge of multiple external vendors simultaneously, including architectural, engineering and general contractors. Manage external Project Mangers running new and remodeled projects for Gap. Responsible for the build out of the following brands: Gap, Old Navy, Gap Kids and Banana Republics. Very involved with the new concept store “Fourth & Towne” for the upscale woman. Responsible for $10,000,000 to $30,000,000 in construction costs per year.

Managed satellite General Contractor office in So. Cal. Parent Company located in Hanover Mass. Maintained office budget and personnel. Primary responsibility was to Project Manage retail construction in So. Cal and Nevada. Responsible for a $2.1 million annual Capital budget program for various Park New Construction. Managed multiple General/Sub contractors including Disney in-house Facilities personnel. Maintain budgets, schedules and quality assurance. Solicit bids and proposals, including negotiating prices, terms, conditions and writing contracts. Work with in-house liaison to government agencies and various county and city health agencies to secure permits. Review project and client billing to ensure contract compliance. Project Management experience includes but not limited to: restaurants rebuild, TI/office and retail, sub stations, structural upgrade and upgrade Park restrooms to ADA compliance.

Responsible for the prioritizing, scheduling and directing the work efforts of ten maintenance staff members for the daily maintenance and operation of the park.

Managed a $600,000 annual budget for Park Expense maintenance and improvements. Coordinated Disney in-house Facilities personnel, General contractors, sub contractors and A & E firms. Estimated, coordinated and documented construction work on attractions, merchandise and food locations throughout the Park. Project Management experience include but not limited to: remodeled employee lounge, Main Street exterior and interior restoration, rebuilt water tower, remodeled Disney art gallery and re-paved main parking lot.
