Fine Arts/PE Department ChairWork with the Academic Dean, Dean of Curriculum, and Faculty Development to facilitate department meetings and to direct the department's work toward departmental and school goals. Maintain records and oversee finances for the Fine Arts department. Responsibilities include: supporting the ongoing development of department curriculum/goals/standards, supporting professional development, facilitating department meetings, participating in monthly department chair meetings with school administration, oversee the department budget, and consult in the hiring process of new department members. Visual Art TeacherInstruct grades eight through twelve in the studio arts. Encourage students to know a sense of exploration and expression, inspire students to learn about art, to love art, and understand how to incorporate art in their lives. Responsibilities include: keeping up to date grade reports online, motivating students to involve themselves within the local community through service related art projects, maintaining the classroom equipment/materials, and conducting individual/group lessons on various techniques. Expanded the Visual Art Dept. to include a service-based art club, digital photography class, and an Advanced Art class for college bound students.

Instruct student teacher classes on Montessori Art & the Environment through presentation, instructional handouts, mock classroom environments, and offer hands on art material workshop.

Conduct art workshops on Art & Geometry (grades 4-5). Develop lesson plans focusing on topic. Work in connection with parent volunteers, prepare materials, and conduct demonstrations.
