In my current position for the Science Education Department I perform a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced high demand environment. I consider it my responsibility to make every aspect of the department run smoothly and give students the best educational experience possible. Some specific duties include:• Initial adviser and point person for all students entering the graduate program• Assisting faculty with grants management, budget development, supply procurement, and execution• Student liaison assisting students with all issues in navigating campus offices policies and procedures• Establishing a network of cooperating teachers for student observations• Administrative support for faculty• Compiling student tracking data and data entry for federal grants.• Cataloging the historical curriculum books in the department• Review all Institutional Review Board compliance documents• Planning & coordination of all department events• Management of space, materials, curriculum library and supplies • Hiring and supervising work study personnel

As Director of the Math Science Regional Upward Bound Program I was responsible for every aspect of the administration, development, implementation and reporting of the program. This included:• Writing the grant writing and developing annual budget of nearly $290,000.• Program development, implementation and evaluation.• Completing all reports to the U.S. Department of Education using a federal database program.• Tracking of student participants for five years after they graduated from high school. • Hiring and supervising teachers, dormitory staff and mentors. Including associated personal paperwork.• The coordinating classes which included securing classrooms with the college, supplies, and instructional materials.• Arrangements for all meals and dorming for students and staff for a six week residential program.• All travel including travel to campus of 56 students from NY, NJ, PR and the USVI. • Educational fieldtrips and recreational activities which involved bussing and meal arrangements.• Composing and formatting of all correspondence, recruitment materials, surveys, writing of reports and newsletters.
